Susan Parsons Reed
Treasurer

Susan Parsons Reed has been a dual member of BPW/NJ and BPW/PA since 1997.  She has served as BPW/PA Legislation Chair, Public Relations Chair, PAC Chair and Recording Secretary, and as BPW/NJ Treasurer, Vice President and President.  Susan was a member of the BPW/USA Legislation Committee 1989-1990 and 2003-2005.

Susan has demonstrated her commitment to action over the course of her 27-year membership.  She chaired her Local Organization's committee that submitted the winning nominee for BPW/PA's 1985 Employer of the Year Award.  She authored a resolution that was adopted at the 1984 National Conference condemning exit polling.  She marched in Washington for reproductive choice in 1992 and 2004.  She traveled to district meetings throughout Pennsylvania advocating for the establishment of a state PAC, which was overwhelmingly adopted at the 1988 state convention.

Susan attended night school to obtain her B.A. in Accounting while working full- time and raising her son as a single parent.  She has been the controller for two small businesses and is now a commercial real estate accountant.  Susan firmly believes that her BPW membership has dramatically influenced her life and has a strong desire to share her experience with other workingwomen.
